My Boston Adventure

Tomorrow, tomorrow, Atlanta tomorrow.  It’s only a day away!!!!!

This past weekend I had my very first visitor in Boston! Katie came up from New York City for the Head of the Charles Regatta. This picture is of the race start line with the Boston University boathouse in the background. Since both of us are former rowers we mainly spent the regatta reminiscing on each of our rowing careers and dreaming of getting back into the sport. I am almost done with my month of projects and can see the finish line up ahead. Funny enough, the finish line looks a lot like a plane on its way to Atlanta. :) Cannot wait to see some of you next weekend! However, I must get through this weekend first. The weatherman is calling for snow this weekend so it is looking like winter weather might be starting early this year!

It’s Already Been a Month?

Today I received an email from school informing me that registration for spring classes will happen in two weeks.  I cannot believe I am almost half way through my first semester of grad school and I have been up here for a month.

I know I haven’t been very good at keeping this updated and it’s not because I’m not doing anything, it’s mainly because I am doing so much.  This week I started my part-time job as the Graduate Assistant to the Office of Spiritual Life at Simmons.  I will help the chaplains with administrative tasks as well as use my event planning and marketing background to help increase visibility of the office on campus.  It will be nice to make a little bit of money and learn more about other religions that I am not very familiar with.

With four projects due for my two classes in the next month I will be setting up shop in the library after my break for Columbus Day this weekend.  I am looking forward to seeing my family this weekend when we meet up in Pennsylvania for a wedding.  If only Annie could make the trip too!

I miss everyone down in Georgia and I look forward to seeing some of y’all next month!

My loveseat has arrived! I now officially have all of my furniture and I am very excited about it. So excited in fact that I’m sitting on my newest piece of furniture while I upload this! :)

Celebrating Salutation Nation yoga day at Boston Common! It’s a beautiful day here and was the perfect way to get outside. Unfortunately, my ride home on the T included a man that smelled like urine and was yelling at people obscene things. Ahhh city life!

Some people might say a microwave is an absolute necessity, I say a food processor is more important.
